Bio

Anson Wong is a landscape designer interested in studying the influence of shifting cultural practice on urban landscapes, and working the preservation and design improvement for cultural landscape. His master design thesis, entitled “Hacking the Instagrammable”, looks into raising Instagram tourism culture and its impact on urban landscape, and explores innovative design methodologies to reimagine urban experiences from reduced digital representation.

Anson holds a BALS from the University of Hong Kong and an MLA from Harvard University Graduate School of Design. He is currently Director at the non-profit organization “Hong Kong Public Space Initiative”, taking the lead in empowering the public to create better public space locally.
